The lab

I’ve traded NQ futures for two years, and I run it like a lab. Every idea gets written down before it’s tested, then checked on years it never saw, against shuffled data and on other markets. More than 70,000 intraday rules have been through it. Almost all of them were luck.

The live book

The few that held up trade on their own on a real account through NinjaTrader, one small contract at a time. Size only grows as the account does, and the whole book shuts itself off if it gives back too much. It went live in November.

The AI trader

I’ve also tried handing the whole job to an AI. Eleven versions so far, and every one lost money on months it hadn’t seen.

The Kalshi bot

A bot that trades Kalshi’s 15-minute crypto markets with real money, kept small on purpose. More than 700 tests so far, and most of them are dead. When an edge fades, the bot cuts its own size, all the way to zero if it has to. It also paper trades weather, gas price and power demand markets.
